Achal A. is a kindhearted girl came to us quite shy and reserved, the kind to sit back and observe more than get in and mix it up – but what a difference 90 days of love, care and good food have made! She is outgoing, always laughing and smiling, loves to sing and dance and is an excellent student who hopes someday to become a teacher.
This precious 11-year-old in the fifth grade is very shy but, man, does she love to dance! Achal A. comes from a very poor community where farmers struggle to make a living. Her mother, widowed by suicide when Achal was only a toddler, was left to care for them alone – her only source of income being a field laborer.
Unable to feed and educate her precious daughters, she was forced to send Achal to her mother's house in the hope of gaining an education for her.
After learning that another girl who lived in their village, Priyanka, was coming to Grace House India, Achal's mother brought her in hopes that she will be afforded opportunities she was unable to provide.
A monthly sponsorship of a child at Grace House India is used to cover all our girls' living expenses. These expenses include clean water, nutritious meals, a private, Christian education, school supplies, tutoring, her clothing and any routine medical care and medications. No administrative expenses are ever taken from your contribution, 100% of your giving is directed exactly as you designate. * Dipali is partially sponsored and needs an additional $95 monthly to complete her sponsorship.
