Tejal already knows she wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She loves studying whatever homework her teachers give her each night. She has a sweet giggle and loves to color — especially with a yellow crayon or marker — and eat chicken.

At Grace House, she is impressed by the gifts from visitors as well as the clothing she receives. She did not get these things when she lived at home with her mother as there was very little money.

Before Grace House, Tejal filled her days by following her mother around and playing in the village. She never attended school.

Now she says that, even though getting up early for school is hard and she has to do more things (study, wash, chores, school), she enjoys living at Grace House because she is learning things she never knew existed and this makes her happy and curious about other things around her.

Tejal would love a sponsor who brings her chocolate.
