Unremarkably Beautiful
...
I am sharing with you the most unremarkably beautiful photographs I have ever seen. To merely see a fence is the easy part – to see beyond the physical and look at all it represents is what is truly remarkable.
Because this fence represents Safety — safety for the 38 girls who will live within it. Safety from those who would wish them harm. Safety from those who would put a dollar value on their innocence. Safety from an uncertain world.
It represents Hope — the hope of growing up in an environment that encourages them to dream. The hope that they can break the bonds of their familial circumstance. The hope that they one day will have the opportunity to pay it forward.
And it represents Faith — faith in a loving, living God who knows each girl by name and has numbered the hairs on their heads. Faith that God has selected each of the girls living here and has set a mighty purpose ahead of her. Faith that she will become all that He has planned for her. And faith in His provision, that each of the 2,990 feet of this fence will be funded and, more importantly, that every inch of it will be covered in prayer.
Faith that Grace House India will never be an institution but rather a haven where a loving, living God dwells among us.
